Field trial to determine efficacy of Nobilis TRT

Method

68,120 meat turkey poults were divided in 4 pairs of comparable flocks. Of each pair of flocks, one flock was vaccinated at 1 day old with Nobilis TRT vaccine by coarse spray and at 5 weeks through the drinking water. The other was vaccinated with a placebo.

The incidence of respiratory problems and treatment days with antibiotics was recorded.

Results

Conclusion

Respiratory problems occurred twice as frequently in the placebo vaccinated flocks and treatment was needed for twice as many days as in the vaccinated flocks.
