Method

  • Groups of turkey poults were vaccinated as follows:
    • Group 1: vaccinated with Nobilis TRT (7 days) and Nobilis TRT+ND (30 weeks); not challenged
    • Group 2: vaccinated with TRT (7 days) and Nobilis TRT+ND (30 weeks) and challenged
    • Group 3: vaccinated with Nobilis TRT (7 days) only and challenged
    • Group 4: not vaccinated and challenged.
  • Egg production was recorded.
  • In week 38 the birds were challenged.
  • Fully vaccinated but unchallenged birds served as positive controls.
  • Non-vaccinated birds were challenged and served as negative controls.

Conclusion

Vaccination with Nobilis TRT and Nobilis TRT inac is effective in preventing losses in egg production.
