Method
- Groups of turkey poults were vaccinated as follows:
- Group 1: vaccinated with Nobilis TRT (7 days) and Nobilis TRT+ND (30 weeks); not challenged
- Group 2: vaccinated with TRT (7 days) and Nobilis TRT+ND (30 weeks) and challenged
- Group 3: vaccinated with Nobilis TRT (7 days) only and challenged
- Group 4: not vaccinated and challenged.
- Egg production was recorded.
- In week 38 the birds were challenged.
- Fully vaccinated but unchallenged birds served as positive controls.
- Non-vaccinated birds were challenged and served as negative controls.

Relative weekly egg production* per group
* Egg production for each group individually set at 100% at 38 weeks of age before challenge, subsequent values for each group/week are related to the percentage at 38 weeks.
Conclusion
Vaccination with Nobilis TRT and Nobilis TRT inac is effective in preventing losses in egg production.
