Turkey vaccines against Avian Metapneumovirus

Vaccines form an important part of an Avian Metapneumovirus (aMPV) control strategy.

Both live attenuated and inactivated adjuvant vaccines are used in the control of aMPV. The vaccination program used is dependent on the local situation.

Live vaccines control infections in meat turkeys. Breeders require priming with live vaccines and then vaccination with an inactivated vaccine.
